Legatoria Conti Borbone, a historic workshop in Milan that specializes in book restoration and binding, has created a blue leather photo album with decorations and faux-book case for the Guardia di Finanza, the tax police force that operates in Italy and Europe for economic and financial legality.
The photo album, which collects the memories of the four years of training of cadets of the Guardia di Finanza Academy, was given to their Commander on the occasion of their discharge as a token of esteem and gratitude. The photo album is a work of art reflecting the professionalism and elegance of the corps, unique in its expertise and innovative technologies.
The blue leather cover has been finely decorated with a gold thread, The faux-book case, made of the same leather and decorations, is designed to protect and enhance the photo album, making it resemble a fine volume. The interior of the photo album consists of 50 ivory-colored pages with tissue, on which photographs of the cadets, their activities and ceremonies were pasted.
The photo album was handed over to Academy Commandant Gen. D. Giuseppe Z., who thanked the Conti Borbone Bindery for their work and expressed his emotion over the gift received. The photo album will be kept in the Academy library, where it can be consulted by future cadets and other corps members.
